DLNA set up on IFI streamer
« on: December 16, 2021, 03:43:21 am »

Please give some advise how to set up MC receiver on IFI newest streamer "Stream":

1.Lenovo Thinkpad as server on same WiFi net;
2.USB flash as music storage attached directly to streamer

I don't know what you mean by "set up MC receiver" on the Stream (I presume you mean the ZEN Stream).

On the Thinkpad you need to enable the MC Media Server function, that is your server, and that is also where your USB storage device should connected. I don't know why you would want to connect a flash drive directly to the ZEN Stream, you can do that, but that has zero to do with MC or the server side, thats just local storage that you can access from the iFi app.

On the ZEN Stream you need to set the rear selector switch for #5 (DLNA).

You should then see the ZEN Stream as an available Zone to play to in the left-hand side pane of MC, select it and then play something. All of the above assumes you had already done the ZEN Steam's basic setup via their app, which is an iFi skinned version of Volumio.
