Select output audio?
« on: December 28, 2021, 07:09:18 pm »

I suppose this is the step I am stuck at?
First attempt at setting up -
I just put an Allo Digione on a fully baked raspi - edited the config.text file to add the line for the digione driver
I'm not sure the next step here.  I select "show audio device info" from that list and it shows the digione but how do I select it?
I might be looking entirely the wrong way though

I'm not sure what all of this is.  Where is there a sample track?

Note that I can see this as a renderer in MC.  I try to play a song and it just says "waiting" and quickly skips to the next song, waiting etc etc.
So I suppose my problem is actually twofold as I type this out....

Thanks for some guidance!

OK so edit yay!

I got it playing by right clicking the device in MC and opening the webpage which took me to panel - from there I selected the device.

One other question then - Is there anything I need to do to allow this to play tracks in their purest form?  I mainly play 16bit flac.
Thanks -

In MC itself, choose Options > Audio, then select the device.

Get MC to play first before you try to use it as a renderer.

Oh sorry I missed your reply in my excitement!
Everything is good - Will MC remember the things I did in panel so that next time I can just open it and select the renderer?

Also that one question about the quality that's being outputted, not sure if anything else I need to do there.

Thanks much :)
