Feature Request - JRemote
« on: February 12, 2022, 05:41:07 am »

The Last.fm information in JRemote is not very useful. I'm looking for information about the song or album I'm playing now, not the artist's bio.

In MC 28 I can modify the web links to get the info I want from Wikipedia. A tabbed Info page in JRemote could create Wikipedia queries for Song (no Song page, fall back to Album), Album (no Album page, fall back to Artist), and Artist bio.

This would be a very useful feature for Panel, too.

I have a really small request. The original JRemote had a field for the date of the album release under the album name.  JRemote 2 is missing this field and it has bugged me ever since it was released. Please add the date field back so I can ditch JRemote 1.  ;D

Here is JRemote 1 just for clarity

On the server, in options, take a look at Media Network > Advanced > Customize Views ...

Add "Stop after current file" to JRemote. Please.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread but through a couple of media server iterations this solution never worked. It also doesn't explain why the original JRemote still displays the date without any customized views alteration while JRemote 2 does not.

Just for reference, I would go into the advanced media
options as suggested and click customize views. I would create a new item under "Audio" called "date released" and select "date" under categories and hit ok. I'm not sure where this change is supposed to be viewed but I don't see (the date) on the album banner at the top of the screen. Thanks
