As soon as I launch the app, it crashes. Any ideas why?

Common reasons are antivirus and drivers. 

Look for the thread on Windows Defender here.  Don't use another antivirus program.

You could try installing the 32 bit version of MC.

Is there an error message?  At what point does it crash?

Tried both 64 & 32 version. It crashes as soon as it gets to the main screen. It's my work computer, and I even had someone from IT verify it has nothing to do with their firewall nor anti-virus.

No, I wanted to try it first. I am running it fine on my personal device. At no time does the app on my work computer ask me to register & pay for a license, it just crashes.
