MC29 - No more maintenance policy?
« on: October 17, 2022, 01:28:38 am »

Hello,

I am a bit confused about the JRiver development / maintenance policy.

I got MC 28 in January 2022 coming along with a ready to go MC29 license (that's fine).
MC 29, if I remember well, was released in February or March 2022 and its last update is dated 7 Sept 2022.

MC 30 is not out and apparently no more maintenance on MC 29 (just after 7 months from its release).

Is it really so?
If so, I am disappointed because MC 29 is far from being "stable enough". Me and others are reporting since long (me since its release) that it is instable and that it crashes often and without providing crash report or useful log info (I sent in the past tens of log reports to Matt / JimH).

I can understand your focus on video and on tons of new features (I personally don't use any of), but I really would like to have a stable and "good" audio player.
I listen only to music and I would like to do it decently.

All the best
Andrea

It may seem so to you, but we're not especially focused on video.  Yes, MC29 is no longer being developed.  I replied to the problems you reported in your other thread.  Please use that one now.
