Yep same here. IIRC I didn't directly open Spotlight when it happened either.

Alt W (maybe Ctrl W? I'm not at my computer) will close a tab. Sometimes JRiver re-launches with said tabs, just spam the hotkey and it should clear them.

Curious as to what's causing this as it hasn't popped back up in a couple weeks.

Wish I could help. Pretty sure it's triggered by library views, not currently playing, which I don't interact with frequently, at least at the moment.

I had to deal with that on my father's MC. I though he might have messed up himself but seems now that it is an issue in MC. He's on MC29

Same thing here and no idea how it happened.  Never saw this before and don't think I'm doing anything differently than I've done in past.

I had a minor version of this happen a few months ago.  I think it opened maybe 10 or 12 tabs...

At the time, I had just fired up MC and I was trying to test SpotLight.  So I pressed the yellow circle for Spotlight and... nothing.  I pressed it several more times and still nothing.

At some point MC finally responded and opened quite a few tabs with Spotlight in them.  I'm not sure if this is related, but I thought I'd mention it.

I have not touched spotlight since and have not seen the problem recur.
