Name tagging rule?
« on: January 16, 2023, 12:05:08 pm »

I am not sure if there is a code for this but is it possible to alter or add a word to several tracks at once?  For example:

Original names.       New Names
XXXXXX 1               XXXXXXX 1 (Live)
XXXXXX 2               XXXXXXX 2 (Live)
XXXXXX 3               XXXXXXX 3 (Live)
XXXXXX 4               XXXXXXX 4 (Live)

Is there a way to makes the edit to all these at once?

Yes.  Take a look here:  https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Expression_Language

You can open the tag window and in the Name field, type:

[Name] something else.

That's from memory, so try cautiously.

Start typing with an equal (=) to let MC know it's an expression.
