Problem with theatre view [Solved]
« on: February 15, 2023, 03:10:03 am »

Hello everyone.
For some days now, inexplicably, when I go to theater view the screen is completely white and I don't have access to any command... The only thing I can do is exit theater view.
Everything else seems to work fine
Has anyone had the same problem? ... and fixed it...  ;D

A thousand thanks!!!

Did you try using a different skin for Theater View?

No.
But it worked fine until last week.
Why has it decided that it doesn't work anymore?

Try other skins, as a test.

Kinda sounds like a display driver issue potentially. What Linux distro are you using? What kind of GPU are you using? If using a Nvidia GPU are you using the proprietary drivers from Nvidia? If using the open-source Mesa drivers, was there a recent update for them? Have you tried Media Center 30 to see if the issue can be reproduced (as I think there's been updates by Bob lately in regards to white screens)?

I'm using Ubuntu mate 22.04.1 LTS
I don't use a GPU... the video is handled directly by the processor.
There have been some updates, but I have no idea if they involved the video drivers.
And... no, I haven't tried with MC30

It's using integrated graphics, which means it's using the open-source Mesa driver. If I had to guess, there was probably a recent update of them.

... and then ... if the problem was caused by the update, how can I fix it???
(Has anyone had a problem like this? I'm the only one using integrated graphics  :( ?)
Thank you very much

I have the same exact issue but with 22.04.2 LTS.
I've opened a thread and just saw yours.
