Worn Out Remote Be Gone
« on: March 01, 2023, 05:16:31 pm »

I've probably been using the same Media Center Remote for 10 years.  It was getting to be a little flakey.  I finally realized it was the OK key that was the problem.  Swapping it for a new MC Remote cured the problem completely.  But not until I'd re-arranged all the dust bunnies behind my PC and receiver.

I found that the power key also started working again once I began using the new remote, so it was also worn out.

They're around occasionally in small quantities.
