Convoluted Connections
« on: April 02, 2023, 12:11:48 pm »

I'm travelling now, but I've loaded my phone's library from my laptop and I'm playing to a JRiver IdPi connected to a soundbar.

On the phone, I'm just running JRiver for Android.

On the PC, MC can open that library from Playing Now (section below).

Also on the PC, I can click on the renderer in Playing Now and play to it.

Working perfectly.  Sounds great.

I've also played Cloudplay from the laptop to the same renderer today.

Looking at this from a different angle...

A couple friends came to visit yesterday.

We sat outside and had pizza and a couple of brews.  "A good time was had by all."  :)

But to the point,  I had my Linux Mint notebook  running MC, out there,.  The notebook was driving a couple of USB-powered speakers.

Logitech V20 Notebook Speakers  ( https://www.gadgetspeak.com/gadget/article.rhtm/754/285585/article.html )

Long story short, I selected the LogiTech speakers from the list of audio devices that MC presented to me.

MC provided a nice background to that visit from my friends.

It just worked.

Thank-you.
