"Failed to Install" VST Plug-In (GoodHertz CanOpener)
« on: April 21, 2023, 07:26:25 am »

I downloaded GoodHertz's CanOpener plug-in and neither the VST or VST3 plug-in will work. They are 64-bit plug-ins and so is my JRiver. The strange thing is that I had it installed on the JRiver on my other PC that just broke so I know the plug-in is compatible with JRiver. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Try the 32 bit version.
HGz only makes 64-bit plugins. I did try them with a 32-bit version of JRiver and it didn't work.

Full version MC?
If you're asking what version of MC I'm using it's 29.0.87 64-bit, which is the same version as on my other PC where CanOpener was working.

I just installed Ghz CanOpener.  I'm running 64-bit MC.  I added a VST2 and VST3 plugin for CanOpener Studio and it worked properly.

Maybe install the latest MC30 and try again?

Could you install MC30 and try it?

Just upgraded to 30 and I get the same error message. I even tried moving the plug-ins around to different locations on my PC in case that was the issue. Is there another way to try to add it other than the "Manage Plug-ins" button on DSP Studio? I will say I managed to install DMG's Equilibrium without issue, so some VSTs are working.
