This is a new build of JRiver Media Center 30 for Mac.  Please post bugs here.  Please start a new thread for anything requiring discussion.  Non-bug posts will be deleted.

29. NEW: Re-designed the JRVR HDR tone mapping when converting HDR to SDR, for higher quality and better detail retention.
30. NEW: JRVR uses a new dynamic tone mapping algorithm using a re-designed histogram peak detection, enabled by default in the "Quality" preset.
31. Fixed: Improved shader caching in JRVR to reduce stuttering when playing Dolby Vision content.

Hi, bob!

I love the update except for the buttons for playlists that show up in the Player view.  I can't figure out where to disable them/hide them in settings; please advise.

Those buttons have been in MC for quite some time.  At least 10 versions.  They are designed to activate a playlist, or a web radio station or something like that.  You can change them by pressing and holding them.  Or by right clicking you'll get a menu.

If you just don't want them at all, you can turn them off:

Tools > Options > General > Features > Car Radio

The name "car radio" is unusual.  It refers to the presets that you would have on a car stereo for your favorite radio stations.

How can I upgrade from 30 to 31 while keeping my entire setup intact. When upgrading in the past I had to redesign/tailor-made a lot of my Panes, lists and detail menu structures and the remote part.

Do a backup in MC30 before installing MC 31, then when you have installed MC31 - don't let it run Auto-Import instead tell MC to Restore from Backup and select the one you created in MC30; that should bring the Library, Settings & Playlists from MC30 into MC31.

Unfortunately if you have any Non-MC supplied Skins and Track-Info plugins in MC30 you will have  to manually copy them from the relevant  MC30 folders to the ones MC31 uses.

You can restore a backup from a previous version.
When you do so there is an option to restore settings as well.

Oh yeah, please post the Apple dumps in a fixed font. The variable width fonts are harder to read.

Also, if you set MC to startup to the start page can you still get it to crash?
