For some of my music MC can't find any album art.  I have the albums from Apple Music in iTunes and normally just copy and paste to the relevant folder.

Is there a way to add places that MC searches for the Album art? If so, how do I do that please?

Thanks.

No.  Cover art comes from YADB, our server.

But you can copy and paste from anyplace you can find it.

Thanks.

That's a pity though because there are a whole load of files that do not have any album art.

My process at the moment is to copy it manually from Apple music and into a folder where the MC files are.  tedious, time consuming and highly inefficient.  Surely there must be a better way by now!!!

How do I do that?  I thought that I had the latest version of MC28!!!

I have MC 28.0.110.  Is that not the latest?

Also, where can I download the latest version of MC28?

As a matter of interest, why does MC not use the same album art database that iTunes uses?

Is there a good reason for this?

Here's some information that might help.  (Or might not)

Album art can be inside the media files.  This is highly recommended because then the art and the music are "stuck together" and can not be separated.  I have this option turned on so all my art is inside my files.

Art can also be in the same directory with the media files.  This is logical and works well in most cases.

Art can be in a central folder with all of the art in one place.  This might help you because it sounds like you have all of your iTunes art in one folder.

All of this information and more is detailed in the wiki, here:
https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Cover_Art

You might need to change the MC "file location" for your art to use a central folder, or use "next to media files", etc.

Best of luck,
Brian.

Did you ever figure out a better workaround for this?  The thread kind of ended without any resolution.  I find if I go to the tag editor and select a whole bunch of songs (say an entire album) with no artwork, that I can go anywhere on the web and find the artwork, right click and copy the image to the clipboard, and then go to cover art section of the tab editor and say "paste from clipboard" and it inserts the album art into all the song files.  It finds its own place for the image file (in my case in the same folder as the song files) so I don't have to do anything with the image file but copy it to the clipboard.
