JRiver as music player for IOS
« on: August 08, 2023, 07:49:25 pm »

Friends: I have a recent iPad Pro and an extensive .mp3 music library of rips from my LPs. I want a music player for my stereo system on the iPad, that sorts, lists and plays my music.  (I use Audacious and AIMP for Linux and Windows devices.)  While I appreciate the valuable other functions and qualities of JRiver, and probably will use those other functions eventually, I want to know if JRiver is too sophisticated (read: complicated) for my simple needs.  I did a non-exhaustive search on the forum, and didn't find a relevant discussion.  I'll be grateful for any links to a thread or your thoughts on the issues.  Thanks.

You should check out the Remotes forum.  These offer a simpler iOS interface to control playback on your server or play to the device.
