Sample rate problem
« on: November 01, 2023, 11:02:42 pm »

When i set JRiver to play a 44, 88, 96 kbps tracks its plays fine with the buffer of my interface being set to 4096, but when i play a 174 or 192 kbps track the buffer size goes to 1024 same thing happen when i try to play a 174kps track upsampling to 192 it change the buffer that was 4096 to 1024 and then my audio interface crashes, so i have to see files with more than 96, ex: 174 to downsample to 96 just to be able to hear. In past version this doenst happens.

Would be good if JRiver set a customizable buffer size when playing ASIO.

my interface is a motu m4.

Also another bug when i try to rip a cd using jriver and try to rip using bottom left button even selecting the secure log to be shown when cd rip is doesnt show the secure log. To show the secure log i need to rip using the upper right rip button when showing the tracks.

Your device may not support those formats.  You can use MC's DSP Studio > Output Format to change only those to something it will play.

Try power cycling everything.

What buffer are you talking about?  I don't see a setting like that in Options > Audio .  But I don't use AISO at all, so maybe it's in the ASIO driver or something?

what soundcart do you use. the sample rating can change the maximum buffer of the soundcart. you could disable "use large hardwarebuffers" in the settings of MC, and see what happens. also keep the samplerate the same 96 or lower for all tracks via dsp. just as a test.
