Sorry for all the posts. I'm just trying to get this right.
New install of Windows 11 (currently on 26100.2605, version 24H2). Purchased new license for MC33, and restored from library backups MC17 and 21 (what can I say-it's hard to let go).
I grab files from several hard drives to rebuild my 50k file database, which has never been a problem before. Here's what is happening:
Every time I try to launch a version of Media Center (usually 33, but this also happens with the other two), I get the spinning wheel of death, followed by a white screen and the dreaded "windows has to close this program" dialogue. Then after it goes through all of the mishegoss to finally close, when I try to open it again, I get the equally dreaded "Problem Running Media Center 33" dialogue. The only thing that solves this is to reboot. And then all is well. Except that if I leave MC open and come back to it later, the same blue spinning wheel and all the rest of the behavior previously noted.
Help! This never happened with Windows 10. Truly at a loss to figure this out. To be honest, it would be worth it to revert back to Win10 if that's what it takes, but it shouldn't! I just want to listen to some g-d music!
