Does jriver support 9.1.4 atmos?
« on: December 14, 2024, 04:47:00 am »

Dear readers,

Windows support 7.1 and with the addition of dolby atmos its gets its height channels.

With use of wasapi in jriver i asume you get a maximum of 7.1.4, correct me if iam wrong.

I am upgrading to 9.1.4, but I dont see the option in windows. Does jriver use all speakers with a 9.1.4 setup?

The only way to get Atmos or DTSX from MC is to use the bitstream option. Once you enable bitstreaming then you can use any channel layout supported by your AVR. I currently have a 9.3.4 layout and it works great.

If you only want to bitstream Atmos but not your other formats you can setup a Zoneswitch in MC.

aha ok, so jriver just uses the settings of your avr. So if i rune e test file 9.1.4 is must use all speakers.

what avr are you using for the 9.x.4?
