Jremote3 (Android)
« on: January 18, 2025, 01:51:34 am »

Good day everyone, yesterday I installed Jremote3 (Android) in the hope that I would be able to listen to my music in *.wav format but this did not happen. I sometimes ask if you will add such an option in the future to play *.wav files?

P.S. Usually I get the answer that no one needs it, but I do.

WAV files should play.  Maybe the server is set to convert.

You can only play what the phone supports.  Those are probably not supported.

You could set the server to convert.

Yes, I checked, physically copied it to my phone and played the wav file on the phone.

DSD is probably not going to work unless you convert it to PCM, just saying that right off the bat. 24/176 and 24/192 should if the device supports it like Jim said. The problem on Android is players can resample content for playback without informing the user about it, so something to lookout for there.

Have you tried converting one of the WAV files to FLAC and playing that through JRemote3 on the S23 to see if that works? On my devices 24/192 FLAC works great on JRemote3.

flac 24/192 works on Jremote2, my problem is that my entire library is in wav files.
