AnyDVD/JRiver integration?
« on: March 01, 2025, 10:20:27 am »

I just had a computer crash and built a new PC Win 11.  I also updated to the Latest JRiverMC Master license (at a nice discount)  For many years I have been using JRiver and AnyDVD for playing my BluRays successfully.  AnyDVD had integrated nicely with JRiver.  Now that AnyDVD is gone I was able to restore my last "lifetime" license on the new build.  Does the new/latetest JRiver still use AnyDVD?  Is it integrated as before?  What do I need to know?  Thanks for help!

Since AnyDVD is dead, it might be worth looking into replacing it with another app that's still in active development, e.g. MakeMKV which does have an integration with JRiver Media Center.

Does this mean the AnyDVD is no longer integrated with JRiver in any way as before in my 29 former license or am I mistaken it has not/never been integrated?  Thanks.

I meant that with AnyDVD being dead and no longer being updated, it's likely new titles released won't work with it or something else happens. MakeMKV on the other hand has been around for years and is regularly updated.

We never actively "used" AnyDVD, we just recommended it because it was the easiest method to use. Any "live" decryptor would work, or you should also be able to use MakeMKV app integration with Media Center (MakeMKV preferences, Integration, tick MC33)
