A Music Game For MC9
« on: January 21, 2003, 10:33:52 am »

I was thinking that A game for MC using your own Music Library.

Today I Had An Idea, So I Was Playing around with it today. creating a User Interface and changing the control sizes if you resize MC and sort of looks like below

------------------------------------

Player 1 Score

  • Player 2 Score [2]

Who Sang This Song: (Song Found At Random)

    [Artist1 Button]
    [Artist2 Button]
    [Artist3 Button]
    [Artist4 Button]

    ------------------------------------

For Bonus Points Select The Year Of The Song

    [_] 1980 [X] 1981 [_] 1982 [_] 1983

    -------------------------------------

    Any Ideas?

That would be cool for party mode.

Make the choices for artist all from the same genre to make it more difficult.

Even same sex if you can manage that.

I did have another Idea for a Game like Concentration Where you have some cover art (you can't see it) and you click on the cover art and it turns over and you must click on another and find a match. if it does not match it changes back to Unseen.

I think that all music quizzes should have a 'name that tune' round. Play a snippet in MC and guess the song.

Hey, that reminds me of when I was a teenager (some time last century, before the war (in Kuwait))!  ;D  Me and some friends used to record 30 second pieces of our most obscure records (kids, they were something called LPs and made of something called vinyl, I still have a few thousand of those...) onto tapes (kids, that was an obsolete form of music recording which relied on a sort of plastic band with magnetism on it) and try to guess each other's tapes. We usually had beer as the prize (well, at least after we turned 16). This could be a very nice way to revive that! Especially with my 20 841 MP3 file library (just imported a bunch of new albums)! Heck, even I would be lost on half of them!  8)

The earliest memory I have of this place is what my mom said a long time ago.  It was sometime after I was born in Louisiana, and maybe when they took me along to Texas, but way before moving to Nebraska at age 2.

"When you were a baby, you were bitten by a red ant."

Fire ant is right, thanks.  She said my lip swelled up.  I don't think she ever forgave me.

It's supposed to be -15 F here tonight (around -21 C).  It might take them longer than they expect.
