What's a "Complete Album"

I guess the subject says it, how are y'all defining 'complete albums'?  I understand missing track numbers but I've either found some bugs or there's some factor involved that I don't understand.

Would you like to expand the thought?

Not that i care if i have full albums since normaly on a 12 track album there is only 1 good song on it.

What bugs are you seeing?  It should be what you'd logically expect a "complete album" to be -- one where you have all the tracks for it.

Carole King - Her Greatest Hits (Songs of Long Ago) has tracks 1 thru 14 all sequential.  

Bert Jansch - Downunder: Live In Australia has tracks 1 thru 11 all sequential.

Both appear in my "Single Artist (incomplete)" listing under Audio.

Two things:

a) are the track numbers filled in properly for all of them, ranging from 1 to the number of tracks?

b) are the files all in the same directory?

Quick question: how is Complete Album affected by hidden/bonus tracks with literal numbering, ie. Track Number 99?

I don't think the CD format allows you to skip track numbers, so as long as you rip the complete CD, it'll show up as "complete".

Yeah, you should just have like 89 blank tracks, or tracks with half a second of silence or something.

Tool - Undertow is like that. They have a hidden track at #69 with like 50 tracks all about 1 second of silence.

Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar.... same thing.

So, is Complete Album dependent upon MJ being used as the ripper?

I use EAC for now. Also, I usually exclude the blank tracks from the rip process. So if I edited the hidden track's Track Number to logically follow the last 'visible' track's Track Number, will MJ recognize it as complete? ie:
Last Visible Track # - 16
Hidden Track # - 17

Also, can Complete Album be forced by the user?

And finally, (insert sighs of relief here) what about those few hidden tracks that come before Track 1? Is Track Number 00 valid, or does it conflict with the 00 displayed for tracks without Track Numbers? (insert groans of annoyance here)

No I get confused when I think, so I don't think much and I can always find my way home.

I picked my last 12 green peppers; I also have A Habanero pepper plant brought up from Jamaica.

Dam it's hot, it is inside still producing.

If this has to be this way I'd strongly suggest some help text on it as it feels counter-intuitive to me (however I understand that not everything is doable). :)

The album analyzer can't currently be over-ridden for special exceptions.  Why -- well, it'd add clutter to the already cluttered list of DB fields and add complexity that we don't think is justified. (both internal and external complexity)

Consider the album analyzer a "toy" feature that should work almost all of the time.

And it does look at the directory.  Almost everyone keeps their albums together on the hard drive, so it's a big hint.

Documentation will follow, but it's always a ways behind any new stuff...
