Getting tags for wave-files
« on: November 24, 2003, 11:43:41 pm »

Hi,

yesterday I tried encoding some newly bought CDs - and then my "nice" CD-ROM-drive thinks about not reading any longer and the encodingprocess hangs (EAC + lame) and I had to shut it down using the taskmanager.
So this whole thing left about 25 not encoded wave-files but with some usefull names like "Metallica - Until it sleeps - 5.wav".

When I encode these waves-files (using lame-command-line), there are no tags added (this one is clear). Then I import them into MC and tag them by filename. But there are a couple of informations missing like "genre", "album" etc.
Is there a way to get missing tag-informations from yadb or something?

Thanks,
Mirko

P.S. I have been away quite some time from this forum - is it meanwhile possible to do batch-encoding using MC (= ripping a lot of CDs leaving a queue of lame-processes encoding/tagging in the background like EAC can do)?

P.P.S. Very well done image support - I'm starting to use MC for my whole jpg-collection. Thanks.

P.P.P.S. And very well done new view-scheme-support. Man, how long have I been away from MC-development...
