Digidesign Digi 001: ASIO not working
« on: June 29, 2004, 04:57:45 am »

I downloaded MC v10 to try out last night.

Fantastic program, I'm almost converted from iTunes, and to my absolute surprise noticed that it had ASIO support, which is great because it means less messing around with cables on my audio interface (long story).

I tried and tried to get ASIO to work, but to no avail. I have the latest ASIO drivers from the Digidesign website, and have tried the full range of channel offset settings 0-12, but still no sound. When i adjust the volume on Media Center i can hear my speakers 'pop', indicating that some sound output is being routed through, just not Media Center.

The ASIO diagnostics on MC v10 display everything as functioning correctly.

Can anybody please help??

Make sure you're using the latest MC. (build 149)

Also, play around in the sound card's control panel to see if the sound is getting to the card, and if it's being routed correctly.

I downloaded the new version of MC v10, the ASIO driver may have been updated by the looks of the more detailed ASIO diagnostics, but still no sound.

There is no software 'control panel' as such for the Digi ASIO drivers, the config panel is accessed through any program that supports the drivers (any program but Media Center it seems...)

still in need of help, any mpre ideas?  :(
