Library question in MJ 8
« on: August 18, 2004, 08:14:03 am »

I am posting this basic question for MJ 8.400.
I tried to create a new library and called it Private Songs
without cloning. Library Manager shows show libraries.
But in the left pane, it shows only Media Library under Playing Now.
Under File->Library, I see two libraries Default and Private Songs
with check mark against both of them.
How do I switch to this library. I was hoping that both libraries would
show in the left pane and I can just switch to the one I desire.
Help was not of musch help in my confusion.

Use File/Library Manager to load the new library.  Then import whatever you want.

Jim,

Let me state one more thing. I already have 1875 songs in the
default library. I created another library to keep some Private Songs
which I did not want to go to the deafult library.

I did as you suggested. New files went into the default library.
All I see is + Media Library. How do I select other library, Private Songs
so that I can import files into that library. That is where I am lost.

Another thing, MJ does not allow me to delete this new library
I have created.

I am a bit disappointed that I have not received response to my
question. Is there some kind of rule not to respond to dumb
questions or try to expalin if someone has difficulty understanding
a concept in the product.
