Well, since I couldn't get the lava lamp to work, will go with this....keeping in the groovy 60's theme  ;D

Realized that since an animated gif is actually frames (duh... :-[) and one would have to edit it frame by frame, that's just way too technical for me.  The old one is still on my web site if anyone wants to get if, just please don't link to it from there.  thanks

Here you go:

Both are 100 x 100 pixels, but the left one has transparent side areas.

I used Adobe ImageReady for resizing and background coloring.

Remember this thread? It was great fun then. ;D

Thanks, Alex B!!!   ;D  Your computing skills amaze me  ;D  Just what is Adobe Image ready, a part of photoshop?  I'm afraid my photoskills are limited to rotating and resizing and adding borders and frames!  Just trying to get rid of red eye is  usually a disaster (my people end up looking like aliens!)  :-\

Ans yup, playing with friends is always fun ;D  ;D

Hope it's ok , I  saved those chickens to my HD, but there's no sound... :'(    Oh well, they are still great for a chuckel or two!   Any one have any great sites for such silliness and groovy avitars?  Want to send my sis a "Hope you have recovered from going to Europe with a teenager, but that was weeks ago and I still haven't seen any pics"  e-card.  Bet

Well, something seemed to have changed. All those avatars used to move or revolve, but now everything is standing still. Don't know when that happend, but one or two weeks ago they used to revolve. Anything to do with SP2?

What browser are you using?  IE has a setting called something like "Play animations".
It has to be checked "on".

Thanks for helping. I am using IE and the "Play animation" option was checked, so I had to google and found the answer.

The culprit  was Zone Alarm, there is also a popup blocker there and it also blocked animations. It was introduced with the latest upgrade!

Nowadays every piece of software is trying to block popups! We may soon get a popup blocking congestion ;D

I saved those chickens to my HD, but there's no sound...

You need to download these nine files:

easterchicks.htm
chicken_balk.wav
image0014.gif
image0022.gif
image0031.gif
image0041.gif
image005.gif
image006.gif
image007.gif

Put them in one folder on your HD and open the easterchicks.htm file with your browser.

Alex B, did that and they still won't sing!!!  Copied the files into a folder in my docs, opened the htm with my browser, and the chickens are merrily playing away, but no sound....triple checked, yup, the wave file is there alright....what am I doing wrong?  ?

Hmm... maybe the chickens don't like like Firefox. They seem to like Microsoft I.E. 6.0 and Opera 7.2, but not Netscape 7.1 (I don't have Firefox just now).
