Any updates for a Bantam Plug in
« on: October 11, 2002, 03:10:25 pm »

Hi guys,
Is there any update for a plug in for the Bantams line of MP3 players?
My guess is they never followed through with any of your requests?

In response to their redesigning their website I sent them a mail saying "MUCH BETTER", and when one of their marketing wonks unexpectedly replied, I couldn't resist the opportunity to needle them about it again. I told them their downloads section still seemed to be missing that ever-elusive link to the plugin for MJ.

No reply to that one. Big surprise.

I have not had any replies from them, but I just emailed them again today to try to get the ball rolling.

It would be great to get a plug-in for the BA350.  Hope this issue doesn't die quietly.

Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. It's been gasping and wheezing and hacking for the better part of a year now. ;D

No reply yet from my recent salvo to Bantam. We may have flatline. I will try the paddles soon.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: This Steve Grove guy? He rocks the nation.

I got a reply from someone at Bantam assuring me she would try again to put me in contact with the person who handles this for them. She told me "You're definitely persistent." :D  Which was a polite way of saying I am definitely something else.

Then it looks like we can kiss a plug in for the Bantam goodbye. Thanks for trying.

Halloween always seems to creep up on everyone and with all the scrambling to buy candy, who has time to support MJ?

Seriously, I will try again in January, but then Groundhogs Day will be so close maybe Bantam will be busy looking for Punxsutawney Pete.

It's probably not entirely BS; they're launching the BA800 in about two weeks, and prepping some other unnamed/unnannounced secret new product for unveiling at CES in January. Not that it's any excuse though; what were they doing in March when the request was first made?

They now have a "message board" on their site. Not surprisingly the majority of the critical comments are that they should provide plugins to jukebox apps. Make yourself heard!
