Anyone here ever used CyberLink's IR Remote with MC?

I have a CyberLink IR remote that I bought with my Dell Inspiron 8600 in Feb. I havent actually used it with my own Laptop since I bought it because my boss liked it so much with his PowerPoint slideshows. I recently reacquired it and am trying to use it with MC. However, UUIRT and IRMAN neither one are picking it up. Anyone have any suggestions?
