Suggestion for Rip Progress meter
« on: December 12, 2004, 06:57:23 am »

Right now when multiple discs are ripping simultaneously, the rip progress bar is shared by all ripping/encoding processes.

Why not as an option have separate bars for each drive/process, e.g.

          RIP PROGRESS           _ X

D:
[xxxxxxxxxxxxx..............] 5.6x
9 of 12 tracks processed

E:
[xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx...........] 5.6x
11 of 15 tracks processed

F:
[xxxxxxxx...................] 5.6x
7 of 10 tracks processed

THat would indeed be extremely useful. Also the way two parallel rip preocesses can be managed is not verz good. Also the rip initiation should be better managable by drive

well you don't need a Progress Bar, you just need a Bar

I do like Progress bars, anything to keep me informed on how things are going always works for me. Not Sure There is room for all that and doubt it will happen however.

If they were to be made as a gauge instead of a bar 3 would fit I think.

:D I to would like this option..Maybe something like vertical bars(or lines to save space) or little circles for each drive that works like pie graph or clocks to show progress for each drive. It would be nice to see each drives progress. Thanks.
