Hi all
How can I remove the disgusting feature of automatic moving of images to the cover arts field!!?
This is driving me crazy and destroying the pleasure of using the most complete manager for my mp3 collection.
TIA

Can you say what you don't like?  I'm sure there's a simple solution.

Thanks.

It's probably Marko's option 1. Not exactly disgusting but darned inconvenient if you have a large library -- it looks for cover art for everything you have, not just what you just imported.

Hi
Thxs for your replies, here I explain how my problem is:
I usually use one directory to receive all the mp3 files sent by my friends, among those files comes the cover art scanned by them.
Normally they send me 2 or 3 complete albums.
So, in such directory there are several .mp3 files and several .jpg/.bmp files at the moment of importing it to MC (I use version 10).
The program moves automatically any of the images to field "cover art". In one album this will be correct and the others not, those have to be manually removed.
I prefer to have the cover art stored in the tag of my mp3 files.
I have a collection managed by the excellent program of nearly 37000 files.
Thanks in advance.

That's one way to gather a big collection. I hope those "albums" are not copyrighted works. Some people here would consider that inappropriate.

You could just put the music files and the correct cover art file in a separate folder before importing. It's not a lot of work if you are importing only a few albums at one time.

  • nothing more to say...

Or even easier.   When you are doing your importing of music files just make sure you uncheck the .jpg or .bmp file types in the import window.  That way it will only import the music files.  You can always just MC get the art from the net afterwards.

Hope that helps

Thanks Jim,
That is a nice shortcut.
You know if something not so manual will come in version 11?
Thxs again
