Non-Standard Rename Files using File Properties

Rename Files using File Properties

Reposting as I got no hits and I'm sure other users are facing the same problem.

This is a great function in Media Jukebox. I use some very customized and unique rules for renaming my files that do not exist in the pull down list of RULES.

The issue becomes that I have to retype my unique RULES everytime I need them. Is there a way to add your own scheme to the list of values under Directories RULES and Filename RULE?

Your help will be much appreciated.

MC11 stores the recently used naming strings in "Rule > Presets". I have currently 32 strings there. I am not sure if that is the limit. I think the option was already in MC10, but I can't check it just now.

However, I would upgrade directly from MJ8 to MC11. MC11 is already very good and in my opinion better than MC10 in some areas.

I have no idea when MC11 will be officially released, but if you install it now (for the first time) you will have a 30-day try out period. If you decide to buy the upgrade license it will be valid also with the release version.

The best source for information (and the only one for MC11) is this Interact Forum, especially the Media Center subforum.

I quickly collected some recent threads where I have written something about upgrading. I am not sure if they are all relevant. Don't hesitate to ask if you have further questions, but try to use the forum search first.
