MCC_THEATER_VIEW and Girder
« on: April 27, 2005, 08:51:08 pm »

I finally took the plunge and upgraded my main system to MC11.  Now, I'm running into issues setting Girder to take advantage of the new theater view.  In my system, I rarely turn on the projector, and I almost never have a keyboard or mouse handy.  Everything is done using a Pronto and Girder.

I'd like to be able to setup more direct access to theater view buttons.  This is useful whether or not I have the projector on.  For example, when I want to watch a DVD, I can have the Pronto:

   1. Turn on the projector
   2. While the projector is turning on (I see nothing yet)
   3. Press Home on Theater View
   4. Select the 5th button down on the home screen to launch TheaterTek
   5. By the time my projector is displaying TheaterTek is already up

Even with the projector on, it's easier to navigate around with a remote when you have direct access to several buttons.

I've asked this question before, and you added in some of the feature.  However, I think I'm missing something.  The entry in the feature release says that the commands are available to Girder via MCC_THEATER_VIEW.  Ok, but is there a list of available commands somewhere?

Also, on the home screen, can I reference a button by position?

Thanks for your help!

P.S. I can get around in Girder, but I'm no expert.
