Pioneer DVR 109XL making bad discs
« on: May 06, 2005, 11:04:01 pm »

I need help restoring a setting to my DVR that has apparently been modified by MJ.  I burned one music CD without a problem.  On my second attempt, I answered a question wrong, apparently,  and can not recover.  I don't remember the exact wording of the question BUT MJ detected a setting in the DVR that was recognized as potential trouble.  On my first burn, I ignored the message as one legimate choice.  On the second attempt, I checked the box to make a change in the setting without a reboot.  I thought this would be a 'soft' setting change that would revert to the original settings on a restart or reboot.  WRONG!  MJ writes the iniital track and then gives a device error, Error Number = 1002| Error data is KEY:2 ASC:4ASCQ:8.  MJ then recognizes the CD is not blank and will not write to it.

I have removed and reinstalled MJ, I have rebooted, I have powered off the computer, I have disconnected and reconnected the Pioneer DVR and all I get are coasters.

What to do?  How do I get back to all of my original settings.
