"Playback engine" doesn't work?

 After a malicius installation of a video-editing program I can't record any tv program (I can only see it). :'(
The message of MediaCenter is this: "PlaybackEng: RunCaptureGraph: Cannot start graph"
I tried to unistall that video-editing  program with no god results,  How can I do to restore this "playback engine"? Is there an "utility"? Thanks!

The editing program you installed may have either messed up the TV device's driver, or have left something running in memory that could prevent TV from working properly.

Please try reinstalling your TV device driver and application.
