« on: November 21, 2005, 03:10:09 am »

Thanks benvisser;

I think my problem is different. After make a lot of test, I can connect my WinTv 350 with MC, but MC doesnīt "learn" the asociated buttons of my remote control. I clic on learning an later clic on any button but nothing...

If I stop the plugin in the same windows and later clic on Start, MC shows me a COM error. I thought the problem was I havenīt got any Windows service started but I started all my windows services and no luck...

I have the last drivers of Wintv 350.

As I read your comment I think you have a remote control from Hauppauge that was delivered together with the TV Card.

If so, then do you have started the IR remote control software from Hauppauge?

Yes, of course. Like I said in the first post:

The remote plug-ins are specific to the receiver, not the remote itself.  The Hauppauge receiver isn't supported.  You would need to have a receiver that is supported.  Then you could probably make most any remote work by using the "learn" process.

I think it is not the plugins.

I have no plugins at all started, but the remote control works fine anyway.
I don't think that's the problem.

I have a x10 Hardware compatible remote control in the living room, and it is not working allso. But the RC from Hauppauge is working just fine.

Perhaps a stupid question (like allways) But is your RC working on WINTV2000?

Ben.

It includes wintv2000  :)

This night I will screen-capture all the error alert and tomorrow I will post here.

Here you have a video-capture that shows the remote problems.
IMPORTANT: Now, If I clic PLAY/STOP/PREVIUS/NEXT on my remote control, MC make this actions, but MC doesnīt learn the other options, like left/right/up...

(right buttom -> dowload) http://demodirecti.aclass.es/aclass/video.avi 13 MB

Thanks in advance

Good evening Ferent,

I thought your RC did nothing on MC. I have a RC that works fine for me Like Louder/Play/Pause/Stop/skip etc.

I have no buttons like right/left or anything that works like a mouse.

Stupid thing is that in the living room I have a RC that works fine with left/right etc. but it doesn't work with MC. It has no functions like play/pause/louder etc.

If it is a X10 compatible RC you can try downloads on http://www.promixis.com/

There is this program Girder as well as Netremote that is supported by MC.

Or perhaps download Mouseremote on http://www.marmitek.com/ Open Home solutions then touch top button (Sorry it is in Dutch) Universele Afstandbedieningen.
Lookup for PC Control and click on the picture. then click on software and click on the second text "DOWNLOADEN"

There should be download MOUSEREMOTE.exe :P

Good luck,

Ben.

Hello Ferent,

Sorry I react so late, but I was unable to be earlier on the internet.

I think this problem is going too far for me.
It is time to make contact to the people from MC. They can help you further I'm sure.

It is best to make contact with Bob, Kingsparta or Bob.
If they are online perhaps send them a personal message.

Ben.

KingSparta is a moderator here but not from JRiver.

But you are talking to JRiver here.

MC doesn't support the Hauppauge remote, but you may be able to get it to work.

Hello Jim,

Can you see what's wrong looking at the error messages above?

Check the promixis.com site and their forum for setup info on NetRemote.

Hi JimH;

In help archive, I can read:

Quote
The following cards are supported:

·      ATI (http://www.ati.com)

·      ATI ALL-IN-WONDER cards

·      ATI TV Wonder cards, TV Wonder VE, TV Wonder USB

·      ATI HDTV Wonder cards

·      Hauppauge (http://www.hauppauge.com/)

·      WinTV PCI or USB

·      WinTV-PVR 150/250/350 (except for digital TV models)

but I canīt read and * that alert to us the cardīs remote control are not supported. I bought the Hauppauge because I think ALL the features are supported, and not only ONE.

Hi, I have a Hauppage TV card and have got most of the remote functions working by modifying the remote.ini file in the C:/Windows directory. I will post up what I have done in the morning but am just off to bed!! ;)

I believe he meant Irremote.ini.

This sites info may look old, but it was updated 8/2005.

Download the irremote.ini doc. file, in first post, at bot.

It will show you how to set it up.

http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=4277

Keyboards com. can be found in MC help file or in the menus at the top of MC std. view.

Hope this helps.
