Tagging seems to be hanging on these last few builds. The biggest consistency I've found is if you try to "Rename files from Properties" after you've played any files in that directroy. The files you've played will not get renamed and MC will hang on those files. You either have to wait until MC times out the rename operation or close down MC, move the files manually, and then reload MC and do an import to fixed the changes and broken links.

I've noticed the same thing happening when retagging. If I change the tags of files that I have played recently (last 10 or so songs) those files that were played recently will hang on the tagging operation and I must wait for MC to time out the operation.

This all seems to be only happening within directories. If I change albums, thereby changing directories, its like it releases those files in the previous directory.

I've been having the same troubles with the latest 11.1 builds.  Especially when retagging songs that are loaded into Playing Now.  It seems to consider those "in use by another program."

It seems that tagging any song in Playing Now (with one of the songs playing) is not going ok.
Files seem to be locked by MC.
Stopping the play does not updated the files.
When exiting MC a message is shown that the file could not be updated becuase it is locked or read-only.
After starting MC the tag is updated anyway.

I think someone pointed this out somewhere else, but anyway: files in playing now seem to be locked for tagging.

More specific:
After a song ends being played the lock is not removed, therefore tagging changes stay queued.

Also "Rename files from properties" doesn't seem to be working. The files don't get moved, the "saving tag changes" at the foot of the pane hangs and a few seconds later the error message "MC has encountered problems moving files" comes up.

I have the same problems: after analysing files, it shows a number of changes remaining to be saved.

If I exit mj, the following message is display for each file

file locked: filename
