Cover Art (folder.jpg) problems
« on: September 22, 2002, 10:46:51 am »

Hey All,

I am having problems with certain songs not displaying their cover art.

These songs have a single folder.jpg image file in their directory ( in all cases) and if I link them manually they display fine.

Does anybody know if I am hitting a known issue?
What are the rules about when a "folder.jpg" image will not be shown?

Oh, while I am here, since I registered  ;D and upgraded to 8.372 I am getting Program Error notifications from Windows XP when I shut down MJ, any others?

thanks,

Bill

I have never used Folder.jpg

Thanks for the response King.....

I only use the MediaPlayer folder.jpg method, as it appears to be the easiest (and non app-specific) way to associate a folder of mp3s with an image.

I will try 375 and ensure I completely uninstall.

thanks

Hey King,

I uninstalled/deleted everthing and installed 375.....

Same thing..... BUT ;D

I looked at the problem folders and they had a file called "cover.bmp" in them.  MJ must have got confused over its co-existence with "folder.jpg".  I guess I must have used another MJ-like program which created them, maybe MMJB?

Anyway, deleting them and deleting and re-importing the folder fixed it!!

thanks for your help, I appreciate it!
