Party Mode or Safe view for Kids?
« on: March 20, 2006, 09:46:04 am »

HI,

I'd like to setup Party mode or another type of safe environment for my kids to browse the library without deleting\renaming files or tags.

Party mode seems to do this well,  but the only problem is that they cannot create\save playlists...

Is there a way to have the protection of Party Mode, but also be able to save new playlists when exiting this mode?

Thanks...

Not currently, but perhaps in a future version.  Several people have requested party mode enhancements.

Thanks.

Well I found a way around it for now, but it's very cludgy...

before exiting Party Mode, I can export all lists.

Then in regular mode, I can drag and drop lists into new ones.

Two issues.

There is no Import Playlist... so I have to create a new one and add files to it???

Also to export all playlists, there is no choice as to where to save them so they automatically go to the long C:\docuemnts and settings\blah blah blah path...

As far as Party Mode, all I'm looking for is to be able to save Playlists made in Party mode, to user's Directoy, profile etc...
