Able to specify format for 'Date (filename friendly)'
« on: April 03, 2006, 07:53:07 pm »

I'm working on a lot of tagging these days rebuilding my media library and adding a lot of pictures & videos.

Is there a way to define what the "Date (filename friendly)" field will look like? I'm generally not interested in the timestamp part of the tag when using the "Rename Files from Properties" function and I'd love to redefine it. It doesn't seem possible from the Library Field options.

Even if there is a registry hack of some kind....

All of the registry settings are in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Center 11\Properties and subfolders.  I browsed through and didn't see anything that looked like it would do what you want.  But I didn't search, so maybe try that.

You can format a date in a fully flexible way using expressions.

For example:
FormatDate([Date, 0], MMMM: d, no date)
