I have chosen the option for syncing my rio carbon to enocde my existing mp3 files which have bitrates from 128 - 192, down to 96kbps when transferring to the rio so I can get more music on the player.

I am forcing conversion in the options but the projected conversion is showing as more space required.  The files without converting fit on the rio fine but when I choose to convert to a lower bitrate of all files, they require more space which does not make sense.  I am starting with the rio drive empty.
