Self-powered digital input speaker for multi-zone

I have a Saitek wireless speaker & plan on getting a Roku radio for my bedroom. I'd like to skip wireless for our baby room and run a digital out (coax or optical bot I think on EMU1212M) there to a system of some kind; either a self-powered speaker system with digital input or a small Klipsch 2.1 or something. I guess I could get an external d/a converter too so there are probably lots of possabilities.

any ideas?
