Mono files are left channel only?!?!?
« on: July 03, 2006, 11:34:57 pm »

When I play back a mono MP3 (haven't tried other mono files), the sound only comes out of the left speaker!  Stereo sounds fine.  When I play the same file in Windows Media Player it comes out of both speakers.  This seems to be an MC thing.  Weird!!!!!

I'm using the latest version of MC as of July 2nd, but I've noticed this for the last few weeks of builds (it may have been there for much longer and I just didn't notice).

Any ideas?

Does no response mean I am the only person running into this problem?

Thanks,
Fred

Either that or it's already been discussed before.

A quick search turned up this:

Duh, thanks.  (I usually do a search first, honest!)  I'm sure that's it, but...

MC 11.1.188 isn't letting me access the DSP settings.  I've never seen this before.  I go to Options/Playback, then click on "DSP and output format" and get a "DSP Studio is only accessible when playing audio files" error.

Has anyone else seen THAT?  (This time I did a search first :-)
