It's a pretty slick thing. My D-Rebel has a red dot that shows up with any long exposures. I'm too lazy to photoshop, reencode, etc. but now there's just no need. For viewing and printing the stuck pixels are totally gone.
Currently it takes a little leg work to build the bad pixel map. Shoot a long exposure with a lens cap on, and then find the coordinates of any dots.
I'm not aware of any other software that can do this nicely at view / print time like MC 12.
I'll see if I can put a sample together one of these days.
