Questions for Magazine Article on JRiver
« on: July 21, 2006, 09:37:40 am »

Hi, my names John Taylor and I'm writing an article for a British computer Magazine on building a Media PC.  I have looked at your software and it seems to trounce Microsoft’s offering in several areas.  Loading rm and mov files, recording in divx etc.

However, a rather essential part of a media PC is recording one channel and
watching/recording another.  ( I am looking at recommending the 'Pinnacle PCTV Dual DVB-T Pro PCI').  Does JRiver Media Center support this using twin DVB-T tuners?

If it is not currently supported will this be rectified soon?  I'd rather like to recommend one piece of software as the perfect choice and so far it’s yours.  However, no DVB-T dual tuner support would kind of put a spanner in the works.

Many thanks

John

I believe our DVB support is only partial at this point.  You could read more on this board:

Our developer, Yaobing, is often there and you could talk with him about details.

Thanks for considering MC.

Sounds interesting, may we be privy to which computer magazine?
There's quite a few people on this board from the UK.
