firewall settings for accessing yadb at work
« on: August 08, 2006, 09:38:26 pm »

newbie user here...

I can access YADB at home just fine.  At work I cannot...it immediatlet gives me a "failed to connect" error.

I assume this is a firewall issue...we have a new firewall and fortunately I get to administer it.

What port(s) must I open to enable access to YADB?

Thanks in advance.

I am no firewall dude, but i would guess yadb uses port 80 for connections. The firewall just needs to allow the forwarding.

But, then again, i really just guessing...

I woudl have to agree with zirum. I have never set anything at work to access YADB. However, for some of the plug-ins I have to add our proxy.
