No Incoming Audio from Outboard Soundblaster?

Hello, I'm fairly new to MC and have been in the process of converting over 3,000 LP's.  I have been using Polderbits software for my conversion and it works seamlessy with my USB Soundblaster Mp3, but I cannot get MC to recognize the soundblaster.  I also have a Sigma Tel Internal Audio Card.  I've tried many different configurations and still cannot MC to recognize my analog signal.  It'd be great if I could perform all my tasks within one program, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
