Paypal problem
« on: October 05, 2006, 10:20:55 pm »

I'm having difficulty using PayPal to pay for the upgrade.  The message keeps coming up that "The seller of this item requires you to provide a Confirmed Address for delivery. To confirm your address, please add a credit card below".  Having added another credit card, the message still appears.

This is probably not a JR problem, rather something to do with PayPal.  Any suggestions WELCOME (!)

Hi Nick,

I think it takes a while for PayPal to confirm your address once you add a credit card. I'd drop them a message on their help line, seee what they say.

Thanks,

had the same problem. and the creditcard is registered for already a long time. paypall still says it needs a creditcard to confirm the adress and when i fill the one already registered it says it is already there so i can not use it.

i dont have the problem with other purchases i make with paypal, and if i remember well i also did not have the problem when i bought mc 11.

so i did not use paypal in the end for mc 12.  :)

The response from PayPal was to contact the vendor (!).  Ha.

I have since made other purchases using PayPal with no problems.  I tried again to purchase the upgrade from JRiver to no avail, so ended up using a credit card.

I'm a little confused why they said contact us: confirming an address is their job, not ours.

I'm glad you got the purchase done...

the confusing thing is that i have a confirmed adres with a credit card and a bank account. but they still wanted an other card to confirm. and that only happened with mc 12.
not expecting that jrivers is to blame, but you guys should know.
ofcource purchasing it without paypal but with the creditcard was no problem.

and worth every penny.

Unfortunately, there's a reason we do it that way (and it's even recommended by PayPal)

Thanks for the heads up...
