It reset my autologin flag, so I wasn't logged in.  Other than that, looks fine.

I can't Mark As Read - I get the error:

Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

I've logged out and in several times - no difference.  I've used another browser, still  no joy.

I just cleared the session cookies. Try again. If you can't get it to work, try deleting your local cookie (yabb.jriver.com cookie YABBSE151)

The boards have a .0 after them now. If you add that to the rss link it will fix your problem. The new version supports subboards so I guess that is where the change happened.
So for mediajukebox for example, you use board=2.0 instead of board=2

Thanks for the update. But, still, can not post images unless I post them on a website first. It would be cool if anyone can post images uploaded from the computer. So I can show anyone here if I have trouble with Media Center I can let y'all know with pictures.

Quoting works fine here.  Using the default theme.

EDIT: Using Firefox 2.0 on Windows XP SP2 (Pro).  Also used with OSX 10.4.8 and Firefox 2.0 with no problems.

I think the RSS feeds are updating absurdly slowly.  The general "news" RSS feed still lists this post as the most recent posting (Today at 13:54:04).  Current time is 14:30-ish here.

It certainly wasn't instantaneous before, but it seems to be behind by quite a bit now.

I was using the top-most choice, "board and forum default"

I changed that to the SMF default, and the quotes work OK with that.
I think the logo could perhaps use a little touch-up in photoshop....

this theme is OK, I quite like it, except for the fact that the "New" flag is placed at the end of the thread title. I much prefer the flag to be at the start of the title, as this puts them into a pseudo column that makes it so much easier to see what's new and what's not.

Also, I've specified that my email address be kept private, but the board default appears to be displaying it, or is that just for my, logged in, benefit?

It looks like the "board and forum" default of the converted classic theme is somewhat broken. I'll probably hack the menu changes into the normal classic theme and the smf default and move everyone who is on the converted theme to the classic theme (it should look the same).

I'll change the "new" flag as well. It's just a bit of a pain to find that one in the code. I think just about everyone likes it at the front.

I guess the reason the Updates do not go too smooth is because of Mods To The Code Or Is It The Forum Software?

When I Upgraded My "WowBB" Forum Software I did not have a problem (they made it Idiot proof, and thats what i needed).

Hi bob,

It works fine for me in both windows and linux with firefox2. Can you tell me more about your setup and what problems you are having (what themes and language settings)?

it seems to be somehow connected to my firefox profile.... created a new one an (apart from marking read) everything was fine....

to fix my current profile I tried quite a few things:
- cleared my cache, cookies for *.jriver.com, session authentications, ....
- loged out and back in
- changed my forum theme (from default)
- tried to run firefox2 in safe mode (disabling all extensions)
- changed my prefered browsing language back to German (an a German VistaRC1, using an English Firefox2)

it just didn't help... I'll have to digg a little deeper tomorrow... any hints?

All I can see is a white page with a few headlines and links to the sub forums (I can even navigate to see posts on white pages....) - it looks like no theme is active.....

I wonder if it is language related? Perhaps the added languages don't work right with the default board theme. I'm working on the classic theme right now to see if I can make it work like the converted theme. I know that the added languages are in there for sure. You might want to try that theme with German (It looks like there are utf-8 and non-utf-8 choices for German).

It was kind of a major upgrade though the board still looks similar to the old one. I didn't have any trouble with the other board I run this software on but this forum is more complex  and has many more users.

Still having RSS problems:

http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?action=.xml;type=rss;sa=news

Is showing me 4 items and even with those they never seem to include any from the v12 forum.

I'd ideally like it to show me up to say 15 items for the feed.

Thanks

You can do this yourself with the limit "tag" (what are those things called -- tag, option, modifier?).  For example:

Code: [Select]
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?action=.xml;type=rss;sa=news;limit=30
Will limit the RSS feed to the most recent 30 postings.  This works on any of the feeds.

EDIT: Woah.  CODE text is very small!
