Version 9 question
« on: September 04, 2002, 11:25:36 am »

In version 9 when i look at the built in view with the pics.. is there anyway so that only the album shows up once.. like with the album view plugin??

also is there a way to have MJ9 automatically search for the albums that have images missing.. ie go to some web site and try and find a match so i dont have to do this manually?

If i do have to do this Manually how do i Go about doing it?

Thanks

We may change the image set for multiple tracks.

For adding album art, see the properties page.  There are several options there.

If you ask me that would be more visually appealing...  plus i think maybe even more desired...

maybe somthing you could take a poll on... For me this and the Girder plugin are the 2 features that set this product apart from all the rest...

I think it would be nice if you made it so that there was a bar across the top, that had the media library type... album. album/artist etc and then the rest of the screen had just the albums full screen nothing else...

I think that if you did this.. it would be ideal for those of us who want to control this as a stand alone program, integrated into a HTPC, or on its on box, plugged into our tv and receiver

Thanks

Just tried the get art from internet under properties one word

PERFECT

exactly what i was looking for..

oops spoke too soon.. dont know if this is a bug or what

but it an information box pops up with
"Failed to save tag information for "NAME OF MP3 HERE"
with just the option to click 'OK'

If its not a bug an user error, could you tell me what i need to do to resolve this..

again
THANKS

Saving the image inside the file requires use of ID3v2 tags.  Could also be a bug.  V9 is not ready for every day use.

sorry got a few more questions..

when do you expect to have MJ9 ready? will there be a significat price raise?

I think i saw there is a way to convert to ID3v2 tags??? any drawbacks?

If there is documentation on this(the album art part)? if you could point me to it...

Is there a way to save the image to the directory or something instead in in the file???

also does it save it in each mp3?  seems like it would increase the size of the mp3 quite a bit? instead of saving it just once.

But thanks, and keep up the good work!

There are still a lot of loose ends on MJ9.  Please stay tuned.  At this point, we're just showing a bit of what it can do.  Documentation, pricing, features lists -- these will all come later.
