Don't worry about the number of restores, if you run out, just post in the forum and JRiver will help you out.. The restore system exists to stop piracy, not your enjoyment of MC. Legit MC users will always get the restores they need. After using up the 10 restores, JRiver resets them on a case by case basis.

So, if you do run out, just post a description of what's going on and JRiver will help you out. Additional restores are issued at no charge.

Don't forget, each restore key is good for 14 days, so save it to your desktop or somewhere safe.

I rebuilt my computer recently & had to reinstall Media Center 11.  I've restored it twice so far & I still get the Trial screen when I start the program.  Evidently, the restores aren't taking.  What to do?

Is your system date set correctly?

Don't forget, each restore key is good for 14 days, so save it to your desktop or somewhere safe. Then restore from the file - not internet (or you'll use up more restores).

It takes a little time to look up the records in the database. If you tried reloading the page before it had completed, that would cause the multiple restores.

Just post here if you run out, when I see multiple restores on the same day, I assume something like this happened.

My hard drive failed.  Did clean install of XP.  Reinstalled MC11.  MC11 won't take my registration code.  Keeps telling me my trial subnscription has expired, but it keeps deducting my restores.  Have only 1 left.  What to do to get this program I paid for to work again?

Make sure you have the latest MC11.1:
ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/old/MediaCenter111201.exe

and then try to restore.

If you run out of restores, we can help.

Every time I try to use MC11, I am told I have to restore the license.  But when I try, I just keep using up my restores and the program still doesn't work.

Is there a way for legitimate users that have paid for the program to not have to do restores all the time?  As of now, I still don't have access to the program.

Make sure you have the latest build of MC11.1.

MC11.1.201 is here:  ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/old/MediaCenter111201.exe

Then report exactly what you're doing and what you see.  DO NOT post your Registration Code.

Use IE to restore.  See the link in my post above for other details.

Yeah, somethings not right with your setup. The only times I've had to restore MC is after a fresh Windows installation.

I made a step-by-step guide to restoring MC and posted it on the Wiki here: http://wiki.jrmediacenter.com/index.php/Restoring_Media_Center

Might help!
