Media server won't let windows shut down
« on: January 01, 2007, 02:35:36 pm »

About every other time that I try to restart windows, it starts to log me out and then stops.  I am running media server in the background.

If I manually close out media server I can then shut down with no issue.

This happens only about every other time.

I have this same behavior, I have to manually stop the Media Center server on the taskbar before shutdowns can occur.

It would be nice if it could gracefully exit.

Yes the tivo server is turned on for me (but Tivo is not accessing MC at that point.)

Could the periodic nature of the error indicate that it only locks out a shut down if Tivo has accessed the server during that session?

If media center can't control the tivo beacon then the terrorists have won ;)

Oh, well, at least we know what is causing it.
